Atypicals: There r several atypical medications the the fda has approved for bipolar/schizophrenia disorders. Work with your professional to find one that works. The one i've had most weight gain is zyprexa (olanzapine).

Yes, for psychosis.: There are other medications that work similarly for psychosis and for mood stabilization.
