Thyroid storm: Is when the thyroid already in hyperthyroid state is not suppressed enough during stress and makes too much thyroid hormone. Hypothyroidism on the other hand is an inactive or under active thyroid needing thyroid hormone for supplementation. Hypothyroidism can't cause thyroid storm.

Not likely: Thyroid storm is a very rare complication of having a very high thyroid level. It is extremely unlikely to occur in someone taking replacement doses of thyroid hormone (unless you purposely try taking very high doses for many weeks/months). People in thyroid storm are extremely sick and require hospitalization.

You did NOT: Have thyroid storm, which is a medical emergency with a 50% fatality rate. Armour thyroid is just ground up pig thyroid and is potentially dangerous. Also the levels cannot be monitored by routine thyroid testing. Brand name T4 replacement is much safer and more effective.
