A member asked:

How long after a possible exposure to hepc and hiv should you get a screening test done?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hep C and HIV: Would begin testing by antibody at about 2 weeks, but for HIV if you want an immediate answer you can get a pcr for HIV rna. Otherwise you should be tested again at 3 and 6 months.
