Symphysis pain: The pubic symphysis bone can suffer a 'strain' type of injury in pregnancy, causing bad pain in the mounded area. Pains in the groin are most often from the pulling of the round ligaments (this is a normal pregnancy occurrence and not dangerous), could also be a hernia (groin pains). Your OB doctor can help explain what's the cause.
