Eat fewer calories: A person with excess belly fat may have "metabolic syndrome" and can benefit from a diet low in sugars ; carbohydrates. In general, if a person eats fewer calories than he needs to live on each day, his body will use up the stored fuel (fat). Building strong abdomen muscles (by exercising) will help the belly look better.
