Eyelid dermatitis: Dermatitis of eyelid can be caused by different types of allergies and most frequently by eyelid contact dermatitis. Other causes include topical medication or even chemicals. The most difficult to diagnose is the eyelid dermatitis caused by contact dermatitis of the eyelid even though it is the most common cause of the disease, in over 70% of the cases. Treatment is with topical cortisone.
