You are OK: There’s no set “best” age to get braces. Some adults never received orthodontic treatment as children to correct problems such as crooked or crowded teeth, overbites, incorrect jaw position. If not treated, these problems may cause tooth decay, gum disease, headaches as well as speaking, biting or chewing problems. Adults braces can be effective in older teenagers and adults.
