Oral braces: Your dentist is the best resource to discuss this issue; as it is highly dependant upon a physical examination.

Usually not: 6 years of age is a little early even for "early orthodontics". I usually wait for the 6 year old molars to be erupted and the permanent incisors (7-8 years of age) before placing braces.

Rarely: Only in quite rare instances would orthodontic treatment with braces begin that early.

Early: The term "braces" is often loosely used to refer to any type of appliance, not just traditional braces. 6 is a little early for most intervention, but there are exceptions to every rule. Please see a qualified orthodontic specialist for advice. If you're unsure after discussing "why" and "how", seek a second opinion.
