A member asked:

Is there really such a thing as "big-boned" or am i just sugar-coating being fat? what weight should a "big-boned" 5'4'' woman be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

"big boned": Some people have a larger than normal lean body mass. This is more of a factor in men, who can be large and muscular, but the same applies to women too. A 5'4" woman could be 150 lbs, athletic, muscular, stocky, and very normal. Other women would consider that overweight. You can get body fat measured. Or just get healthy and fit, learn to love who you are, and don't obsess about weight.
