116 is not V-tach: But its still way to fast for a healthy person. See your local doctor for an evaluation and treatment.

Tachycardia: The normal resting heart rate is considered to be from 55 to90 with most people in the 60to 80 range . Your rate is elevated in the absence of fever. Some causes include caffeine, alcohol, overactive thyroid , anemia , certain stimulant medications or drugs. Of course excitement and anxiety can elevated the heart rate.I recommend an examination by your physician.
