Treat not cure: Nasal steroids can be a prescription drug used to treat and manage the symptoms of allergic rhinitis, but it does not cure it. A cure requires finding and addressing the cause, especially if it is truly from an allergic reaction to something. Common causes can be pet dander, plants, mold, environmental exposures, food (consider dairy for example), pregnancy.
