Rhinitis is: Inflammation of your nasal mucosa and can be due to allergens that you breathe in eg chemicals, foods. Mold spores, dust mites, cockroaches, trees, grass or weed pollens. You will need your fluticasone here. On the other hand, the nasal mucosa can become irritated presenting as common colds- these are self limiting, about 3-10 days. Supportive treatments- rest, fluids. Antibiotics do not kill viruses!
