YES: Endure the stuffed nose. It will clear. Do not use Afrin. Use fluticasone twice a day. Aim to the side of each nostril inside the nose. Do not inhale too strong. The goal is to keep it inside the nose. If you snort too strongly you suck it up too high and just swallow it.

Rhinitis: Absolutely! That is the best way to wean off the nasal decongestant. It takes some persistence because fluticasone doesn't give the immediate relief that Afrin does, but over time will work well for you. See otorhinolaryngologist if still have problems.
