Not likely,,,: This is not a likely cause of bone pain. That is more likely from a calcium deficiency due to many things like a parathyroid issue or poor intake of calcium or possibly a thyroid issue. Anemias like beta thalassemia or a multiple myeloma issue might cause it, but again it's not likely in this case. Best of luck.

No: However, erythroid hyperplasia due to iron deficiency anemia may in fact be part of the explanation. Has your vitamin d level been checked? Parathyroid hormone? Kidney status?
