Assumption: Halitosis or bad breath can be caused by a number of medical problems. Dental disease, gum disease, food particles caught in the crypts of the tonsils, and reflux of acid from the stomach represent a few. Post-nasal drainage can result from nasal allergy or viral/bacterial infection of the sinuses. It is not a common cause of bad breath. You need to identify the cause of post-nasal drainage.
