A member asked:

Took 3 year old to er for pee pee pain. no uti. doctor pointed out a "shotty cervical lymph"saying "maybe nothing maybe lymphoma!" no labs. worry?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See answer : When UTI has been ruled out, most common causes of burning with urination (dysuria) in a male child would be chemical irritation (soap, bubble bath, lotion, etc); narrowing of the opening of the penis (meatal stenosis: deflected stream); viral; pinworms; excess calcium crystals. If persists >3 days, see urologist. Insignificant shotty cervical nodes in a 3 yr old common; lymphoma highly unlikely.
