I have painful bowel movements just before, during, and a little while after my periods?

Probably normal: The uterus sits right next to the colon, near the rectum. During menstruation the uterus can cause cramping as it contracts. Organs that are close by may be affected, causing pain/cramping with bm's too. There should not be blood, mucous, etc. In the stool - that would not be normal.
