A member asked:

Could anybody tell me the symptoms of having an osteophyte? where do people get osteophytes?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Peripheral vs spine: Peripheral joint osteophytes are the primary sign of osteoarthritis. Those on the spine are asymptomatic (unless pressing on a nerve) and even have a separate name - spondylosis deformans.
