Can you still get synptoms if you are low in magnesium but not deficient?

YES: Magnesium levels in blood do not correlate well with magnesium levels in the tissues especially muscles. You can experience symptoms of magnesium deficiency such as fatigue , muscle cramps etc even if blood magnesium levels suggest no deficiency. Trial of magnesium supplementation is recommended to see if symptoms resolve.
