Yes it does: Not so long ago, a “new and improved” version of gabapentin, Pregabalin (lyrica) was approved for use as an anticonvulsant. Compared to gabapentin, Pregabalin is absorbed faster and has greater bioavailability affording quicker pain relief occurs with lower doses.
