Can get it both ways: You can get it by touching like shaking hands with some one who has flu and has touched the nose etc and did not wash hands and you transfer the virus by touching your nose or mouth.And also by touching objects with virus on it like telephone, cup and door handle you can get it by breathing droplets when a person sneezes next to you but not by breathing in the same room as the infected person.
