Likely not: Pain in left upper abdomen unlikely to be due to anything serious. Stomach, spleen, kidneys, colon, abdominal muscles, in that area. If unassociated with fever, nausea/vomiting in excess of common am sickness of pregnancy, breathing problems, significant change in bowel or urinary patterns, then less likely to be cause for concern. Of course, any persistent or worsening pain requires evaluation.
