What happens if you're given an antibiotic for a respiratory infection but because of side effects need it changed after 2 days? can you switch drugs?

Yes, you can: If you feel the need to take a different antibiotic, call your pcp, and he/she will switch you to another drug that is good for your particular situation. Also report the "awful lung sounds and i had pain and yellow sputum".
