Chronic migraine: Represents the transformation of an episodic, acute migraine headache into a daily attack known as chronic (transformed) migraine. Chronic migraine is present for at least 15 days per month for more than 3 months per year or about 180 days per year. Rec.: see headache or orofacial pain specialist for evaluation and management.
