Yes: Amoxicillin is in a class of antibiotics called penicillins. These are safe in pregnancy and lactation. It sounds like your obg is treating you for an early breast infection. Complete the antibiotics as prescribed, use massage and warm compresses for comfort and continue to nurse your baby. It will be good for you and for your baby. Notify your obg for fevers > 101.
