More info needed: Blood clots in veins are treated with different types of anticoagulants than blood clots in arteries. To make matters more confusing, some people refer to a hematoma (a collection of blood outside of a vessel) as being a blood clot. No medicines are used to dissolve hematomas. So you need to discuss this with someone who understands exactly what the situation is.
