Potential criticism: Someone with this disorder is excessively aware of and worried about potential criticisms from others or "being let down, " so avoids situations where that may happen, including close personal relationships, occupational situations that require a lot of interactions with others and performance evaluatoins, or new activities that might lead to embarrassment.
