Can you explain to me the relationship between arteriosclerosis that can lead to heart attack?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sclerosis: Arteriosclerosis or atherosclerosis of the arteries to the heart results in irregular protrusion on the inside of the vessel. This causes turbulent flow of blood, causing the platelets to hit each other, aggregate, form small clots that get thrown to where they can't pass through and a complete blockade of that vessel and death of tissue just supplied by that artery. That is heart attack.
