A member asked:

Is there any relationship between heart disease and depression?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: People with depression are more prone to heart disease for a variety of reasons, not the least not caring for oneself, eating poorly and not exercising. The opposite is also true as people with heart conditions get depressed from impaired function, lack of exercise and possible medication side effects.
