A member asked:

Is hydrocodone safe to mix with tylenol (acetaminophen)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Because all preparations of hydrocodone currently available in the us already contain Acetaminophen (tylenol (acetaminophen)), sometimes in doses of up to 1 gram (equiv. Of 2 extra-strength tabs). People who have added extra tylenol (acetaminophen) when they are already taking the maximum amount of tylenol (acetaminophen) in the hydrocodone pills (vicodin, lortabs, Norco etc.) may get liver damage from too much tylenol (acetaminophen).
