Second opinion: Some say the perio protect tray system is very controversial. Last i heard, the tray itself never had fda approval for the treatment of gum disease, but as a tooth-whitening tray . Studies show that the application of the medicine cannot penetrate to the deepest level of the perio pocket where the bacteria reside.
