NO!: Digital dental x-rays are about 1 rad each since the computer software program amplifies them for the monitor. Dental films about 15 rads. To put dose into perspective, a woman who receives radiation as a treatment for breast cancer will receive about 5, 000 rads. It is far riskier to not have dental x-rays to catch cavities/infections/growths than to wait for pain/swelling/abscess/cancer.

No: Todays digital x-rays are very low dose, then computer enhanced. You've probably had less radiation than a day in the mountains or two on the beach. X-rays are necessary for proper diagnosis. Without them the practitioner would have to guess...not a good idea.

No: Radiation is cumulative, and unnecessary radiation should be avoided, but most xrays are fairly low doses, especially dental X-rays. I would not be concerned In the least with the levels of exposure that you speak of.
