Please advise what is the difference between lasik and prk eye surgery ?

Flap: With lasik, a thin layer of cornea, the "flap", is cut and folded back before the laser vision correction is done. With prk, there is no flap and the laser vision correction is done on the surface of the cornea. Both are effective treatments, but lasik heals a few weeks faster.
