Depends on type: Depends on type of birthmark and laser. YAG lasers can vary slightly on their targets. Birthmarks can be reddish or purple vascular type lesions or pigmented mole type lesions. Vascular lesions seem to do well with my YAG (non-Q) laser and laser pigmented lesions need excision. If you doctor has experience and can show you their photos of similar lesions they have treated should be fine.
