A member asked:

Please explain why would a ct obtained the 3rd day after a lacunar stroke be normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Image resolution: Lacunar infarcts are very small lesions, and usually secondary to end artery occlusion. The cat scan is a crude way of visualizing stroke and MRI is much better. Thus, the area may be too small or the angular cuts may be too wide.
