A member asked:

I got a wrist splint yesterday and i'm wondering if i must leave it on all day?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Splinting: Usually a splint is prescribed to keep a joint protected after an injury. It is meant to be worn all day and night for a certain period of time to decrease swelling and prevent further re-injury. The clinician who gave your the splint asked you to wear the splint for a certain amount of time to rest this joint. Call them for more instructions.
