A member asked:

How do you deal with a person who has a narcissistic personality disorder?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Keep a perspective: If you are that person's friend or family member, then you should probably make sure not to take it too personally -- their self-involvement is really more a story about them than about you. If you are that person's therapist, then you should probably work to uncover the early-on psychological traumas that have created the problem to begin with.
