Can you please tell me about a ct scan on the stomach and pelvis area?

Common study: Abdomen and pelvis examined usually together with sometimes injection of intravenous contrast material and or ingestion of oral contrast material. Ct scanner rotates around patient acquiring images along the way.Detailed anatomy of liver, spleen, pancreas, kidneys, bowel, stomach, bladder, aota, vena cava etc are characterized for abnormalities. Lymph nodes can also be imaged.
