A member asked:

Can you explain to me depth perception to someone with lazy eye?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Difficult: I am guessing you have normal depth perception (stereoacuity) but have a friend who has a lazy eye. They have good depth appreciation because they know the size of objects and can estimate distances. B ut they lack true depth vision and cannot use a stereoscopic microscope or properly view 3-d movies. For most purposes this is not a handicap and many do not even known something is missing.
