Yes.. But: Luteal phase defect (lpd) implies an inadequate amount of Progesterone (p4) after ovulation. P4 is a critical hormone for pregnancy and in theory if the level is low then you should miscarry. However, the diagnosis of lpd is controversial because p4 levels are tricky to measure accurately. Therefore many women with lpd deliver the baby because they do not really have lpd. Best wishes.
