Please explain if it is safe for a diabetic to get body piercings?

Infection risk: Hi. Body piercing carries an infection risk, albeit generally low (assuming proper technique). If your diabetes is tightly controlled, your infection risk should be low. However, if your control is poor, 2 things: 1) infection risk is higher, and 2) risk of long term diabetic complications is higher.

Body piercings: To the best of my knowledge there is no reason to be concerned about diabetes management troubled by body piercing.
