Is it safe to get a piercing if you are taking immune suppressing medication?

Yes: As long as it's done professionally and is taken care of appropriately. Any redness, swelling, or drainage should be evaluated by a physician.

Not a great idea: Piercings and tattoos are often not done in sterile environments. There have been reports of disease transmission, i.E hepatitis in such parlors.
