A member asked:

Why do pro golfers get bad hips? do amateurs also?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It depends.: The most common golfing ailment is a sore back because the gold swing, when done well, causes the golfer to turn and twist their trunk. Bad hips are not especially common in golfers, but golfers can develop bad hips or knees or other problems just like the rest of us.
