No special organs: Externally at the level of the skin, there are no special organs. However, if this protrudes as a lump, you have to consider a hernia or a mass in the wall of the abdomen. A hernia would be a defect in the wall of the abdomen that bowel can protrude through. This is often soft and compressible. A firm mass in the wall of the abdomen could be a tumor of some type. It is best to have it evaluated.
