Please explain why is all surgical equipment colored light blue?

Not so: You probably had one experience in a surgical suite where that was the color chosen for the major pieces. But many colors are available. The colors are generally in the pastel range - lighter and brighter which gives a warmer atmosphere to these areas and also is easier to spot areas missed when cleaning.
