Would jaw surgery change the way i talk and laugh/smile?

Speech: Yes, potentially. The tip of the tongue touches the back side of the upper teeth during certain letters. So if you are having certain speech problems now, jaw surgery could only improve it. Smile should not change much. You might see more or less of the upper teeth according to the pre-surgical plan.
