Please help! what is the difference between medicine degree and medicine and surgery ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

MD: Med school grads are M.D.'s -doctors of medicine. States license "doctor of medicine and surgery" after completing 1 year internship. Licenses allow further training in surgery OR medicine, but the two are usually mutually exclusive. Training usually leads to board certification. Privileges to practice a specialty are granted by specific institutions after rigorous demonstration of competence.
