ENEMA: In the old days, enema is frequently used to relieved constipation. In our modern days it is use only when diet and medications have failed to relieved constipation. We call it fleet enema (sodium bisphosphate). However, they still use it a lot in hospitals to prepare patient for certain procedures . In xray, they use barium enema.
