Nothing...: Fillings don't whiten; teeth do. If you whiten, the tooth part changes and the filling part doesn't.

Tooth Whitening: Tooth whitening although very effective, safe and easy to use for most patients, it will not affect a change to existing fillings, crowns or veneers. If you need work in your front teeth and also considering whitening, you may do well to do the whitening first to have the subsequent restorations match the whitened teeth.

You'll see fillings: If you front teeth fillings are in an area where they would be visible if they didn't already match your tooth shade, than whitening your teeth would make the fillings stand out. Your options are to do nothing or whiten your teeth and than replace your fillings with the shade that matches. There are other options, but they are much more invasive.

Depends.: If your fillings are visible in your smile, then the fillings will usually be darker than your newly whitened teeth. If they are small, they can be easily replaced with a whiter filling material and match your now whiter teeth. If they are large, you may need to consider that they may need to be replaced with porcelain veneers or crowns. A full exam and consultation will help you to make a choice.

Tooth whitening: If you whiten your teeth, the fillings will not change color. If the fillings are visible, they will look darker than the teeth. If so, once your teeth whitening is completed, you can have the fillings replaced with a color that matches the whitened teeth.

Nice question...: Teeth whitening does not lighten the color of fillings nor crowns. It is possible that if the teeth whiten quite a bit that the dental work may need to be replaced for a better shade match.
