It depends. : Glasses or contacts may improve vision in a otherwise healthy eyes. If there is damage from eye disease, they may help to some degree, but may not help at all if there is significant damage to the macula, such as in advanced macular degeneration. There may be some benefit to advanced macular degeneration with low vision aids, such as magnifying aids, etc.
